8th Grade Night at EAHS 2022

8th Grade Night at East Ascension High School is coming up on Friday, September 30th.  All of our 8th grade students are encouraged to attend.  This is a fun and exciting opportunity for the students to sit with the EA Band in the stands at the football game and perform with them.  Here are the details:

• Uniform – Black pants (no jeans, leggings, or joggers), black socks, black shoes, black belt, Maroon Band Polo tucked in 
• Report time – 6:00 p.m.
• Drop off location – Parking lot behind Leblanc Special Services on the corner of W Roosevelt St. and N Pleasant Ave.
• What to Bring – Instrument and Music in Flip Folder.  Ms. Codina will drive over the tuba, baritones, and percussion instruments.  All other students are responsible for bringing their own instrument.  
• EA Band will provide water and jambalaya during halftime, no outside food or drinks will be allowed in the stands
• Release time – We ask that the students stay through halftime to watch the band's halftime show.  After halftime, the EA Band will provide jambalaya and then you will be dismissed (approximately 8:30 PM).  However, you are welcome to remain with the band until the end of the game.  The game should end around 10:00 PM.  A Remind (text @cmband8 to 81010 to sign up) will be sent out during halftime and again halfway through 4th quarter so parents know when to come pick up.  If you are attending the game you can pick up you child directly from the stands.  If you are not, we will release students in the same location as drop off after halftime and then again at the end of the game. 

This is an optional event.  We understand that this is a school function and that any infractions will be dealt with accordingly. A student may be asked to be picked up early should a problem arise.
